Maps > Map of North Central Florida,
of North Central Florida, 1825
This is an enlargement of the north central portion of a map of Florida published by Anthony Finley of Philadelphia in 1825. Detail is fairly accurate-Anthony Finley was among the greatest American map makers of the Federal period. Clearly visible are such landmarks as the Arredondo Grant, Micanopy, Wanton's, the Natural Bridge on the Santa Fe River ("The River here runs subteraneously for 3 Miles"), interior roads, and other details.
