Persons > Nathalie Bell
Nathalie Bell posed for this photograph around 1903. She crossed her arms, just like the grownups did, and gave the camera a sweet smile. Nathalie was born in Alachua County in 1899, the daughter of James P. Hovey and Annie Bell. Hovey worked for the Post Office-he was Gainesville's Assistant Postmaster for 40 years-and so did Nathalie. She was the manager of the University Station Post Office for many years. Nathalie married Garner Beauford Anchors Jr., and they had two children-Patsy and Garner III ("Bobby"). She died in 1989 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery.
